In anticipation of the hotel reopening July 15th please read through this important update which will inform you of the necessary changes we have made in preparation for your stay to reassure we have taken all necessary precautions and introduced enhanced hygiene procedures to ensure we are Covid Secure.
Please take note of the changes we have made to ensure the safety of our guests and the Murrayshall team.
Arrival and Departure:
The new arrival and departure times are as follows:
Hotel Rooms – From 3.00 pm – Please follow COVID-19 directions at the front door on arrival, Departure 11.00 am
At this time, we cannot accept any early arrivals or late departures to enable the cleaning teams to thoroughly sanitise each hotel room. We are unable to offer luggage assistance and facilities will not be available.
Before arrival we require you to complete an arrival registration card and a short health questionnaire online and return to us. This will be emailed separately and must be returned 24 hours prior to your arrival date.
Upon arrival your key will be laid out ready for you by a member of the reception team. We will be able to help you with finding your key and providing the location of your room. We endeavour to assist you and ensure a comfortable stay. Therefore, we ask that all requests are called to reception by dialling 0 from your room telephone or 01738 55 11 71.
If your accommodation has not been fully prepaid, we will charge the outstanding amount to the card we have on file on the day of arrival. We will also use the same card to charge for any incidentals incurred during your stay therefore, alleviating the necessity to check out at reception.
When departing Murrayshall, we ask that you leave your keys in your room/door. We will then charge the card on file and process an invoice, and this will be emailed to you on the day of departure.
Cleaning and Sanitising:
Our housekeeping team are, as always, providing deep cleaning across the hotel and continuing extended sanitation. New procedures are in place for the safety of all staff and our guests and will be at the forefront of our re-opening. Your room will be thoroughly sanitised before your arrival with particular attention to areas such as light switches, electric sockets and door handles.
Our team across the hotel and restaurant will be wearing correct PPE when necessary and you are encouraged to use your own PPE such as face masks where you deem appropriate.
A hand sanitiser dispenser is available at every entrance and exit for guest use. Communal areas and toilets will be sanitised every 30 minutes.
At this time, our housekeeping team will not be offering a daily service and will not enter an occupied room. If a towel or amenity replenishment is required, we ask for this to be called to reception and a package will be delivered to your door.
Our Lynedoch Lounge will now serve as a relaxed lounge area with social distancing measures implemented to enjoy teas, coffees, and cold drinks throughout the day. There will be a one-way entrance system via the main reception and exit via the west door.

What happens if I need to cancel?
Hotel bookings (except Advance purchase rate bookings) can be cancelled or transferred up to 72hrs prior to arrival with no charge. If you need to cancel or amend your booking within 72hrs of arrival due to COVID-19, we can transfer your booking to another suitable date, however rates may differ between dates.
Any cancellations or amendments within 72hrs, that are not as a direct result of COVID-19, will result in our retaining the charge for the first night of your stay.
If we are forced to close the hotel due to COVID-19 bookings can be transferred or cancelled at no charge.
