Murrayshall Country Estate has a fantastic opportunity for a Head PGA Professional to join its golf team. As you explore our extensive grounds, you’ll find something to suit every desire. 27-holes of parkland golf and an ever-flowing range of activities across the surrounding area. Our Golf facilities also include a floodlit practice ground and short game area and pro shop.

We have invested heavily in new machinery and with continued golf course developments to help push us through to the next level. The Resort is undertaking a period of growth capitalising on the glorious estate surrounding the hotel, with the latest release being 22 Armadilla pod-style cabins, marking a new era of luxury and comfort for the Estate. This investment continues after adding 3 spa treatment room as well as a Pursuits area with quad bike, archery and axe throwing and with our award winning restaurant, making Murrayshall the perfect destination for leisure or corporate.

The successful candidate will possess first-rate customer service, an engaging manner, good organisational skills and a flair for sales. The position will involve working to deliver a great golf experience to all our members, societies, corporate visitors and hotel guests.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As  Head PGA Professional you will be responsible for contributing to the growth of our golf business and the daily upkeep and maintenance of the golf shop and driving range. You will be required to have a strong product knowledge from a variety of manufacturers. It is also essential that you have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels. You will have an eye for detail and thrive working under pressure to tight deadlines. You will be responsible for ensuring that the business is in excellent working order and that any issues that arise are dealt with in a timely fashion.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Golf tuition to members  / Guests 

  Golf operations

· Shop duties

· Stock input and delivery

· Driving range duties

· Development and growth of memberships.

· Develop and grow our driving range business.

· Responsible for meeting hotel revenue targets in golf.

· To ensure that you are fully aware of product pricing and content, seasonal promotions and monthly targets, with a clear understanding of how to hit monthly targets.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· A knowledge of the golf industry

· PGA Assistant Professional Registered
