Robin Smith
Robin Smith has joined our staff in the Pro Shop, Robin has just returned from teaching abroad for many years and is looking forward to meeting the members and guests at Murrayshall.
Robin started his career as an Assistant Professional at Glencorse Golf Club in 1982 and became one of the youngest candidates to reach the qualifying standards to join the Professional Golfers Association at the age of 19. In a varied career Robin has covered all aspects of the profession and has developed a passion for assisting golfers reach their goals.
Over the last 20 years Robin has been overseas in Malaysia as Resident Professional at the most prestigious Royal Selangor Golf Club in the centre of Kuala Lumpur where he worked with the Malaysian Ladies Golf Association managing the Golf for Girls program at Cempaka Ladies College and with Lim Siew Ai at Glenmarie Golf Club, home of the Eurasia Cup.
Prior to joining the Murrayshall staff Robin was based at the IMG managed Jinji Lakes International Golf Club in Suzhou, near to Shanghai. Robin was the Head Professional leading a team of 6 local Professionals to assist the growing membership at the club.
He is looking forward to meeting the members and guests to help all students reach their maximum potential, developing a Junior Program and classes for all levels of player.

Nicola Melville
Nicola joined the PGA Foundation Degree programme in 2005 and started as an Assistant Professional at Blairgowrie Golf Club before moving to the famous 5 * Old Course Hotel & The Duke’s Course in St Andrews.
Nicola brings a varied knowledge of the golf industry having continued her education by completing the PGA ASQ Level 3 Golf Coaching, the PGA Advanced Diploma in Golf Business, Advanced Rules of Golf among others.
During the last 7 years Nicola has been working as Tournament Director for the PGA National Department where she has officiated at tournaments such as The Open Championship, Women’s Open and the Dunhill Links Championship.
Nicola has a passion for developing ladies golf and worked with Paul Lawrie on a series of ladies only events which ran throughout Scotland during 2013 – 2015. She has always been keen to take on new challenges and is excited by taking the role as Head Professional at Murrayshall.
