Assistant Greenkeeper

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Greenkeeper to join our dedicated team at Murrayshall Country Estate.

Set in 365 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside, Murrayshall offers a luxurious four-star country house experience in the heart of Scotland. Lovingly restored over the past few years, the former home of Lord Lynedoch dates back over 400 years. It is situated just 3 miles from the cultural city of Perth, offering guests a tranquil haven in which to unwind and relax, with 40 elegant and spacious rooms and suites, 27-holes of stunning parkland golf and delicious local cuisine in our Eolas Restaurant. 

The ideal candidate should be passionate about their role and association with the Estate and be able to follow all safe working practices ensuring the safety of all golfers, staff and contractors. 

They will possess at least a SVQ Level 2 in Greenkeeping or equivalent and have experience of working in a golf course environment. 

They will have practical skills for driving and operating machinery, work well as part of a team and have excellent timekeeping and communication skills. 

Desirable skills will include construction experience, chainsaw certificate and pesticide spraying licence PA1, PA2 PA6. 

We offer 

Competitive rates of pay with tips for the whole hotel distributed monthly, (totally £1,500 – £2,000 pa) with other associated benefits. 

The hours of work for our Greenkeeping team are Mon-Fri from 6.00am to 3.00 pm in the summer and 7.30am to 2.30pm in the winter. With weekend shifts on a rota basis.
